Question #1 I love the attachment feature for insurance audits. When you run your original report to produce the name of all subs you've used can you somehow email all the insurance certificates to the auditor?
Answer: I would store the attachment on the vendor's record at 4-4, unfortunately there is not an easy way currently to query the attachments for all vendors at once. You would have to send each one individually. Hopefully in the next release Sage will add a method to query the attachments so you could e-mail multiple attachments at once.
Question #2 Is it correct that Purchase Orders and Subcontracts do not affect accounting until you enter them into payable in the 4-2 screen?
Answer That is correct, purchase orders and subcontracts do no impact the general ledger. They do show up on the committed cost reports at 6-1-12.
Question #3 We have several unity price subcontracts. Subcontracts will not print the quantity and unit price, only the total amount. We have found that only the purchase order will work in the instance. Is there another way to do this?
Answer No, if you need to show quantity as opposed to price only you would be best suited to use the purchase order function and customize your form design to print it out as a subcontract agreement.
Question #4 The projected job costs on the last landscape report does not function very well. It gives information that is not accurate. What are we doing wrong?
Answer The system should be pulling information directly from data entered. I have not heard of issues with the report, if you have problems I would recommend rebuilding your indexes. If that does not solve the problem I would contact customer support.
Question #5 Is there a way to sort your punch list by vendor after it is saved? Can it be sorted by room?
Answer Yes through customizing the report you would be able to sort by either one of those criteria.
Question #6We are currently MAS 90 customers. Are attachment features also available?
Answer I am not sure, I would recommend contacting Sage MAS 90 support to inquire.
Question #7 Will you be reviewing inventory and inventory set up?
Answer Unfortunately we will not have the time in this webinar to review inventory setup, I would be happy to assist you further outside of the webinar.
Question #8 If you want to attach an email but keep a copy in outlook can you right click and paste?
Answer If you have setup your Outlook to keep a copy of your sent items it should be maintained in your Outlook files without any issues.
